GAIA ORIGEN ECO-HOTEL has developed this Code of Conduct in compliance with Article 1 of Law 1336 of 2009 issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism. This law requires tourism service providers and accommodation establishments to adopt, display in a public place, and update effective codes of conduct that promote prevention policies and prevent the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in their activities.

Reservations made by minors are not accepted. In the event that incorrect information is provided, we reserve the right of admission and will notify the competent authorities of any minors attempting to enter without the company of their parents or legal guardians, handing them over to said authority.

It is mandatory to present the original physical identification document of each guest. In the case of minors, the required document is the birth certificate (no exceptions).

A maximum of two (2) minors are allowed in the Cabin, under the responsibility and care of their parents or legal guardians.

Minors are not allowed to stay in the Colibrí Dome, which is exclusively available for two (2) adult guests.

Check-in time: 3:00 p.m.

Check-out time: 12:00 p.m. (noon)

If guests wish to stay beyond the check-out time, availability will be reviewed and an additional charge of 50% of the current daily rate will apply until 6:00 p.m. After this time, the full daily rate will be charged. Check-out time is strict, as another guest may be arriving.

Arrival window: from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as guest assistance is available only until that time.

For your safety and ours, only registered guests are allowed to enter the property. Visitors are not permitted. Any additional guests must be reported at least 24 hours in advance and will be charged according to the current daily rate.

Only small pets are allowed, provided they are under the owner’s supervision and properly trained. The fee per pet is COP $20,000, and their arrival must be reported in advance. The guest is 100% responsible for the pet, including cleaning up after them. Pets are not allowed on beds; guests must bring their own pet bed, food bowls, and water bowls. Pets are not allowed in areas where other guests are staying. Any damage caused will be charged accordingly.

Guests are kindly asked to maintain silence and discretion, especially at night or during rest hours. Loudspeakers or sound equipment that generate excessive noise are not allowed.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside or around the cabin. Throwing cigarette butts on the ground or grass is not permitted. The consumption of hallucinogenic substances not prescribed for medical or therapeutic use is prohibited within the property.

We care deeply about natural resources; therefore, guests are requested to use water and electricity responsibly, turning off lights, projectors, and fans when not in use and upon leaving the space.

Guests are asked to properly separate waste according to the color-coded recycling system clearly marked on each trash bin.

The jacuzzi may be used continuously for a maximum of one (1) hour, followed by a mandatory 30-minute rest period for the motor. Jacuzzi use is permitted only until 12:00 a.m. Entering the jacuzzi with sunscreen or adding any substances that may damage the water or surrounding plants is strictly prohibited.

The use or ignition of fireworks is strictly prohibited within GAIA ORIGEN ECO-HOTEL facilities.

Night access rule:

At Gaia Origen, we deeply value tranquility and rest for both our guests and ourselves. Access to the property is controlled, as we do not offer 24-hour gate or concierge service. The owners live on-site and are available to welcome and assist guests. If you plan to leave or arrive after 10:00 p.m., we kindly ask that you inform us in advance. This allows us to organize access while preserving the peaceful environment that defines Gaia Origen. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a harmonious experience for all guests.
